Explanation of Condition

Separation of the bones of the pubic symphysis, generally as a consequence of pregnancy. May cause pain or instability of the pelvis, leading to problems walking.

Guidance

Risk of pelvic instability during bone marrow harvest. Consider for PBSC only if severe, particularly if sacroiliac joints are involved.
