Any disorder affecting the brain or spinal cord.

Guidance

Discuss with medical officer.

Not acceptable if

Suffering from dementia or Parkinson disease;

History of CNS disease of suspected infective aetiology such as Creutzfeld Jacob disease (CJD) or multiple sclerosis;

Neurodegenerative disease of unknown aetiology;

Stroke, TIA (transient ischaemic attack) or cerebral embolus.

Disability physically prohibits either PBSC or bone marrow donation.
