Explanation of Condition

Inherited disorder where skin becomes very fragile after minor trauma or friction due to a defect in attachment within the skin layers. It produces hemorrhagic blisters and subsequent broken skin.

Guidance

Unacceptable if patients develop blisters easily, mainly in the upper arms and trunk (injection site for G-CSF) and/or lower back (for BM harvest).
