Explanation of Condition

Seizures caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain. These can be secondary (e.g. as a result of a brain injury), or primary, where a precipitating cause is not found.

Guidance

Unacceptable if has had an epileptic event in the last year or if there is an underlying organic pathology. Otherwise acceptable.
