Explanation of Condition
Folate is vital for the production of new DNA. Deficiency causing anaemia with swollen blood cells, and disorders of the nervous system and gut.
Guidance
Acceptable if treated and haemoglobin within normal limits. Check that cause is not reason for exclusion.
