Explanation of Condition

Metabolic disease leading to build up of galactose-1-phosphate in the blood stream, causing liver and kidney disease, and brain damage. However, the equivalent enzyme in blood cells is unaffected.

Guidance

Inherited metabolic disease. G-CSF dose not contain galactose in any quantity capable of causing symptoms, and donors may donate safely.
