Explanation of Condition

Disorder, usually in childhood, associated with e.coli infections of the gut, in which the blood breaks down and the kidneys fail. However, it is usually reversible and most sufferers make a full recovery.

Guidance

Acceptable only if single episode of childhood illness with associated diarrhoeal infection. Otherwise unacceptable.
