Viral liver infection similar in transmission and illness to hepatitis A.

Guidance

Acceptable if more than 12 months from recovery, or more than 12 months from recovery of partner.

If a member of the household is infected, again donation must be deferred until 12 months after recovery.

If Hep E PCR +, check liver function test (AST, ALT): - If normal --> Acceptable - If deranged --> G-CSF is contraindicated
