Explanation of Condition
Autoimmune arthritis occuring due to cross-reactivity of the immune system with an infection, such as chlamydia or gonorrhoea.
Also known as Reiter Syndrome, this name has been abandoned due to Reiter's prosecution as a Nazi war criminal in Nuremberg for forced human experimentation.

Guidance
Acceptable if one year since full recovery and no other signs of autoimmune disease are present. Inform transplant centre.
Unacceptable if recurrent episodes or evidence of organ involvement.
