Unacceptable
Recognised thrombophilia in association with at least one episode of thrombosis;
High risk thrombophilia (protein C, protein S or antithrombin deficiency) even if the donor themselves has not suffered from thrombosis;
Proven Anti-Phospholipid Syndrome
Acceptable
Low risk thrombophilia (Factor V Leiden, Prothrombin 20210 mutation) with no documented history of thrombosis
Family history of thrombosis with any thrombophilia other than protein C, protein S or antithrombin deficiency.
