Explanation of Condition

Infection causing fever, rash and swollen glands. It is rarely severe in normal individuals, but may cause severe disease in those with a compromised immune system, as well as foetal malformations if a pregnant woman is infected. See also Toxoplasmosis

Guidance

Acceptable if more than 6 months from recovery.

Acceptable if toxoplasma antibody positive, but inform transplant centre.
