Guidance
Establish:-
What blood component the donor received?
In which country the transfusion was given?
Which year the transfusion was given?
RECRUITMENT - Accept if transfused in UK, Europe, Australia, North America. If transfused outside these regions discuss case with MO
VT - Accept if transfused in UK, Europe, Australia, North America AND inform Transplant Centre. If transfused outside these regions discuss case with MO
Donor transfused in a country endemic for malaria or South American trypanosomiasis:
