Explanation of Condition

Disease caused by white blood cells (eosinophils) building up in the digestive system due to reaction to foods, allergens, or acid reflux. Most commonly affects the oesophagus where injured tissue causes difficulty swallowing; but can affect other parts of the guy. Is considered immune-mediated or may exist with other autoimmune disorders.

If ongoing symptoms (e.g. swallowing problems), currently under investigation or requiring treatment.

May be acceptable if completed/off treatment and symptoms resolved and not associated with another underlying autoimmune condition
