Autoimmune arthritis occuring due to cross-reactivity of the immune system with an infection, such as chlamydia or gonorrhoea.<br />

Also known as Reiter Syndrome, this name has been abandoned due to Reiter's prosecution as a Nazi war criminal in Nuremberg for forced human experimentation.<br />
