Low haemoglobin, either because of blood loss or a problem in the production of red blood cells.

Low haemoglobin. Always establish cause. Refer to MO.
Do not accept if Hb <130 g/L for males, and <110 g/L for females, unless easily remediable without transfusion, e.g. iron deficiency.
