Explanation of Condition
Allergic skin rash with characteristic raised wheals on the skin which are usually intensely itchy (e.g. as caused by stinging nettles or mosquito bites).

Guidance
Establish if any known cause or triggers and severity of symptoms i.e. rashes, hives. Is there any angioedema? What medications do they require? Discuss with medical officer.
Consider on a case-by-case basis. Donors well controlled on single antihistamines are likely to be acceptable however those with multiple medications or angio-oedema may not be acceptable and should be discussed with the TC.
