Acceptable at VT/work-up if performed by a NHS healthcare provider, within UK commercial premises or an independent practitioner with appropriate qualification including:
The General Medical Council
The Nursing and Midwifery Council
The General Dental Council
The General Chiropractic Council
The General Optical Council
The General Osteopathic Council
The Health Professions Council
In all cases inform TC at work-up. Inform TC if carried out within 3 months.
If performed within unlicensed, non-commercial premises in the UK, or for any treatment performed outside the UK more than 3 months ago, can accept. However, this 3 month deferral may be reduced at the discretion of the transplant centre.
