Virus causing severe depletion of a particular type of lymphocyte which are a vital part of the immune system (CD4 or T-helper cells). Untreated, infected individuals eventually succumb to infection or cancer.

Risk of transmission. Must not donate.

RECRUITMENT - Unacceptable

Previous Sexual Contact
Acceptable if more than 12 months from last sexual contact with infected partner.
