QUALIFIED

Acceptability at VT / Work-Up

Discuss with MO.

Establish if causative organism known.

Acceptable if more than two years from full recovery and completion of antibiotic therapy. Can be shortened on a case-by-case basis.

Explanation of condition

Bacterial, viral, or fungal infection within a joint's fluid and tissues, most commonly affecting the knee or hip. It causes severe, sudden joint pain, swelling, and fever.
