Inherited enzyme defect affecting healing of the liver and lung. Severe deficiencies can cause cirrhosis of the liver and chronic obstructive airways disease (COPD).

Guidance

Inherited disorder with variable penetrance. Accept if no evidence of cirrhosis or lung disease. Carrier status acceptable.
