Needle phobia is extremely common and is not automatically a criteria for excluding a donor.
Guidance
May be acceptable if the procedure of stem cell donation is fully explained to the donor at registration and if called for CT.
It must be made clear to the donor that withdrawal at a very late stage may have serious consequences for the health of the recipient.
